A would be author and world traveler, caught up, for the moment at least, in, well, living. (Most of us do have bills to pay.) I think the ideal profession, at least from my perspective, would be a traveling landscape photojournalist. (Think National Geographic) -- Travel, nature, photography and writing all rolled up in one. Nice. I do not even think you could honestly call that work! More like passion.
In the real world of my present life, I am currently the Technology Director for a smallish public educational institution somewhere in the heartland. I have a wonderful wife and family, and so far, life has been good. God is great!
My current interests include landscape, nature and environmental photography. I especially love capturing old houses, barns and some of the quickly vanishing relics of Americana. I also enjoy writing on a wide range of topics including photography, American history, consumer electronics, home improvement and education.
I also have a passing interest (ok, burning passion) with American Politics, but to keep civility, I will just refrain from writing about that for the moment. I consider myself a “Classical Liberal” in the Jeffersonian vein, and would just really prefer “The Government” stay out of my life, thank you very much.
Over the last 3 years, I have been involved in Internet Marketing in some form or another. I've tried, and had some success in, Blogging, Affiliate Markerting, build Niche Websites, Article Marketing and a few others. After many (futile) hours searching for "The Answer" that would ensure my financial stability, I've resigned myself to the fact there really ins't a viable one other than good ole' fashioned Hard Work. There really aren't any free lunches.
I discovered HupPages more than a year ago, but really have not dedicated any time here. (I have several accounts, that shall remain nameless for now). I am at a point where I actually, for once, have a limited amount of additional time to invest in writing. I have also developed a step-by-step plan for myself to follow in writing, monitizing and promoting my Hubs. We'll see how that works.
